SK and Millenium march on

SK Gaming and Millenium moved into the semi-finals of Dreamhack Summer after wins over Aquintra and DTS.chatrix, respectively.

The battle between two Swedish teams saw SK Gaming coming out on top in convincing fashion, as expected, with a score of 2-0.

SK started out on train as T, claiming a total of 12 rounds in the first period. Although Aquintra managed to respond, taking three rounds, that was not enough to even give a scare to SK, who won the map 16-6.

Next it was inferno, where SK showed once again a very strong attacking force, cruising to a 10-5 lead. Now on defence, SK proved far too strong for their counterpart to win the map 16-5 and book a place in the semi-finals.

The other quarter-final tie put DTS and Millenium face to face. Although DTS were highly-favoured for the match after winning ASUS Spring Cup, it would be the French side to progress, with a score of 2-1.

On de_train, DTS showed a consistent attacking side, winning the first period 8-7, but they could not perform as CT, allowing Millenium to make a comeback to win the map 16-13.

On the second map, inferno, DTS went into interval once again with a narrow lead (8-7) but this time they managed to overcome the French opposition in the second half, winning the map 16-11.

As third map Millenium went with de_nuke, with DTS winning the knife round, once again picking the T side. The attacking side seemed to work well here, ending up with a 7-8 score in favor of Millenium. As CT, nothing did however work out for the Ukranians, who lost the pistol round, follow by seven straing rounds lost. Millenium move on the the semi-final against SK.

This tell us the teams for the first semi-final. Millenium faced SK in the group stage, where they learned a 16-11 loss on nuke. Can the French touch the strong Swedes at all?
